K lo K

Dear everyone,

We had an AMAZING ward activity this past week. We called it CCM para

Los miembros (MTC for members). One of each companionship was assigned

a topic to teach about for 12 minutes: inviting, fellowshipping,

Facebook, and how to begin teaching. At the beginning the members

received their "mission call" and we split them up based on their

assignment. First we started with an introduction from Bishop Dickson

and then watched the talk "The First and Greatest Commandment" by

Jeffery R. Holland. It was so amazing. The Spirit in that room was

incredible. I'll never forget that feeling. It was like the ward

members were learning this for the first time. After the talk ended,

Bishop looked and me and just said "Wow."

Then we split into our workshops. It was so much fun teaching the ward

members! We talked about how the only indicator of success as a member

missionary is that you invite! Abinadi didn't have any baptisms, but

he invited everyone, even the wicked king and priests! The members

were so engaged and super excited to learn more! Then at the end

President Morgan came and talked about the Doctrine of Christ and how

the real reason we do missionary work is love. It was so amazing.

Later the Bishop told us that it was the best activity the ward has

had in 20 years. I loved it!

Transfers are next Wednesday and seeing as I'll officially be finished

with training then, I could definitely be transferred, but I really

hope not! I still feel like I have no idea what I'm doing... WHOOPS.

Member missionary tip of the week:

USE MORMON WORDS

"How was your weekend?"

"It was great! I went to Relief Society and learned so much about how

to help my family!"

"Oh, what is Relief Society"

BAM. They asked you. SO TELL THEM

I love you all, have a great week and share the gospel with them!

Dear everyone,

This week has been great! Nothing super special happened but it's just been a good week. We're planning our CCM para Los miembros (MTC for members) ward activity and it's going to be
BOMB.COM/AWESOME. We're going to be teaching the members about how they can find people to teach, how they can invite their friends in easy ways, how they can use Facebook to share the gospel, and how they can fellowship the current members of the ward. So we're STOKED about that.

Other than that, life is pretty normal. Sorry. But for all you folks at home, my commitment to you this week is to go ask the missionaries in your ward what you can do to help them. Do it! They need member support!

I love you all,

Dear friends and family,

This week:

1. Enid (pronounced e-need in Spanish)- we get a magical text on our
phone that tells us to go visit this lady. We walk in and she gives us
huge hugs and Puerto Rican hot chocolate. We're still trying to figure
out who she is when she starts telling us how she wants to be
baptized! What? Turns out she went to a baptism in Manhattan and had
an AMAZING experience and now wants to get baptized! ¡Milagros pasen
algunas veces!

2. Spatially challenged: I've been here for almost 2 months now and I
still get lost every day. Whoops. So we spend a lot of time being
lost... #streetcontactprac

3. We've started bringing a member to every set appointment. It has
been SO amazing. Sometimes I think we should just have the members
give the whole lesson because I know nothing compared to them! And
their testimonies are so strong! It seriously makes all the difference
to have them with us.

4. China town- so much fun! We ate a B restaurant (look it up) but
despite the unwashed hands and the rats and the roaches, the food was
delicious! The we went and bartered for souvenirs. I'm still not very
good at that... But it was an eventful P-day.

WATCH THE NEW YOUTH VIDEO COME UNTO CHRIST. It's on lds.org. I'm
obsessed with it. So watch it.

I love you all,

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Dear friends and family,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We had a good time at Christmas with a family in the ward (we all got
socks!) where I learned the song Burrito Sabanero and how to make
pastelitos. Then for New Years we went to the ward party. Good times.
Good food.

I love you all
